It seems like a lot of bodies have been washing up onshore lately, more so than usual.
Around 1:30 pm yesterday, a Gianyar surfer was enjoying the waves, when he suddenly picked up a horrible stench.
I Wayan Adi Pradana, 28, who also happens to be a lifeguard, told Tribun Bali that a group of foreign tourists noticed a floating object that appeared to be a doll or large puppet.
However, not taking their words for granted, Pradana says he decided to check for himself. As he got closer he was shocked that the object mistaken for a doll was actually a human body.
“I’m sure it was a human corpse,” Pradana said.
Local police I Nyoman Suparta says that the body has been sent for autopsy at Sanglah Hospital. At the moment, the identity and gender of the corpse is unknown. The police will distribute information throughout the community about the body to try and make a connection about longtime missing persons.
