Bali suitcase murderer’s cousin in US expected to change ‘not guilty’ plea in conspiracy

Remember the ‘Bali suitcase murder’? The killing of American woman Sheila von Wiese-Mack in 2014 at the posh Bali St. Regis where her bloody body was found packed into a suitcase?

Though both Heather Mack, the daughter of the woman killed and Tommy Schaefer, her then boyfriend, have already been found guilty and locked up for the crime in Bali, the case apparently lives on in the US where Schaefer’s cousin faces trial for his alleged involvement in conspiring to kill von Wiese-Mack.

Schaefer’s cousin, Robert Bibbs plead ‘not guilty’ last year in court, but he’s now expected to change his plea, reports NBC Chicago

It’s believed Bibb’s will change his plea on Tuesday in American federal court, but the reason for the change isn’t clear at this time.

Bibb’s is accused of texting Schaefer about how to kill von Wise-Mack and get away with the crime.

The Chicago man is facing charges including conspiracy to kill a person in a foreign country, conspiracy to commit foreign murder of a United States national, and solicitation of a crime of violence.
