Heather Mack, the American teen mom convicted for taking part in her mother’s death in the Bali Suitcase Murder, is said to be handing over her baby from prison.
Mack, 20, is in the process of negotiating a home with an Australian family for Stella, her baby daughter, according to the Daily Mail.
Mack had initially said she would keep her three-month-old baby girl in prison with her for two years, the maximum time allowed in prison for newborns, but today Daily Mail claims a source told it that baby Stella could be handed over to an Australian family in just four months.
We’re guessing now that Mack’s spent more time with her baby in prison, she’s started to realize it’s not exactly the most conducive environment for a newborn’s upbringing.
Stella and Mack are known to live in a prison cell in Bali’s Kerobokan Prison with eight other women.
The sentence Mack is serving is 10 years, though she could apparently get out early for good behavior. Meanwhile, her baby’s daddy and convicted Bali Suitcase Murder co-conspirator Tommy Schaefer, got 18 years for the killing of Mack’s mom, Sheila von Wiese-Mack.
Daily Mail’s source says part of the negotiation is for the family to give the baby back to Mack once she’s done serving time.
An unnamed prison source also apparently told Daily mail that the family plans on constantly bringing Stella as a visitor to Kerobokan to see her mother.
