It’s been raining quite a lot across Bali lately that not a day seems to go by without seeing our streets covered in water.

In recent days, many streets have been flooded, mainly in Denpasar, and some are thankfully shallow enough for people to pass through, albeit with extra care. But some areas endured so much rain that neither cars or motorbikes could pass through.

Photos circulating on social media showed drivers pushing their vehicles through the stream as they brace the deluge.

In Bangli regency, heavy downpour triggered multiple landslides and caused floods, so much so that the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) were reportedly overwhelmed to get to multiple sites for rescue.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said heavy rain and strong winds are expected in the next few days in Bali.
