Bali may not be what folks think of first when talking about Indonesian sports, but this October the island’s going to be on the map as it will host a big national sports festival.
It was announced in Denpasar on Wednesday that Bali province was selected to host the National Recreational Sports Festival (Fornas) III, in Niti Mandala, Renon, Denpasar from October 9 to 11, according to Antara.
Chairman of the Regional Fornas III Committee, I Nyoman Sukanada, says the big sporting event will consist of a wide range of sports from gymnastics to martial arts to skateboarding and beyond.
Participants will be competing for a number of prizes, lie cars, motorcycles, televisions, washing machines (oh yeah!), and bicycles.
