Bali police ‘in touch’ with Australian police over Sara Connor case

The murder case of a Bali policeman found dead on Kuta Beach nearly two weeks ago has caught the attention of Australian Federal Police (AFP).

Not exactly a surprise since one of their own, Australian woman Sara Connor, along with her British boyfriend David Taylor, have been arrested as suspects in the case.

Bali Police have confirmed that they are communicating with the AFP about the death of slain cop Wayan Sudarsa.

“They asked for developments of the case. We have good coordination with the AFP, we have informed them what we have found according to the existing Act,” Denpasar Police Chief Hadi Purnomo said, as quoted by The New Daily

The AFP were unable to find any criminal history of Connor or Taylor in Australia, according to the police chief.

Bali Police have a max of 100 days to build their case before it goes to the prosecutor’s office, but police have apparently said they can get it done in 20 days or less.

This weekend, police revealed new witnesses have come forward, who are understood to have been present when Connor and Taylor were burning the clothes they wore on the morning of Sudarna’s killing.
