Bali Police schedules psychological testing for Australian pedophile suspect

Bali Police have scheduled psychological testing for an Australian man who was arrested in Tabanan earlier this month for alleged pedophile acts that took over the past three years of his residency in Bali.

Robert Andrew Fiddel Ellis is currently suspected for molesting about 16 children.

“The suspect will undergo psychiatric tests. We have already proposed it to Sanglah Hospital,” Bali Police spokesman Hery Wiyanto said in Denpasar on Wednesday regarding the matter, as quoted by Republika

According to Wiyanto, a psychiatric examination of the 70-year-old suspect is just one of several  elements of the police investigation.

“We also want to know what other abnormalities there may be.”

He added that investigators are examining a number of additional alleged victims and witnesses and that once the filing process is complete, the case will immediately be handed over to the district attorney’s office.

Police located most of the victims that have been questioned regarding the case, based on names that were recorded in a book of the suspect, obtained when police searched his house.
