Following a violent incident at Kerobokan Prison towards he end of last month, Bali Police say they are upping their vigilance for securing the prison.
In a coordination meeting held at the Bali Province Council Building on Monday, Bali Police Chief Insp. Gen. Sugeng Priyanto says his men are ready 24 hours a day to back up Bali’s prisons, especially Kerobokan, should a similar incident occur.
Kerobokan Prison is unfortunately understaffed and would definitely need assisting force from police in any kind of disruption in the prison.
“If there needs to be a Brimob (Indonesian police mobile brigade) team outside, we will prepare a post,” said Kusbiyantoro, head of Kerobokan Prison, as quoted by Tribun Bali.
