The Bali Police are investigating the untimely death of 25-year-old Niamh Finneran Loader, a Perth university student who reportedly flew to the island for a minor dental treatment.

Kuta Police Chief Yogie Pramagita confirmed to Coconuts today that authorities are still investigating Loader’s death. The Irish-born woman was reportedly found dead at a hotel in Kuta on Dec. 2.

“[The case] is still under investigation,” the police chief wrote in a text-message.

Australian and Irish news outlets have been reporting on the death of Loader, whose family moved from Ireland to Perth when she was young.

A student at the University of Western Australia, Loader was described as a “wonderful, kind, fun-loving young woman who brought brightness into everyone’s lives” by her family.

Loader reportedly flew to Bali for minor dental treatment. While some outlets reported that the treatment never took place, Loader’s father was quoted by The West Australian newspaper saying that his daughter had told him that she was “very happy” with the results of the treatment.

9News reported that Loader’s body was taken to the hospital five days after she died and an autopsy found no obvious signs of trauma.

“”We don’t know yet what happened during that five days,” forensic specialist Dr Nola Margaret Gunawan said as quoted by 9News.

Loader’s parents reportedly are already in Bali to arrange the return of their daughter’s body.
