Remember that Badung narcotics officers who supposedly drowned at Kuta Beach, but his body hadn’t been recovered after several days of search and rescue combing surrounding waters for it?
Well now we know why his body was never found.
Officer Made Susila Adnyana has been tracked down to Surbaya.. with a woman that apparently isn’t his wife. He allegedly left his belongings on the beach in Kuta so people would assume he drowned and he could slip away from being investigated in a case that reports did not provide much detail on.
The lack of information on the case is because details of the internal affair may not be disclosed to the public, Bali Propam (police internal affairs) Insp. Made Darta explained. All we know is that there are allegations of domestic violence from his wife and that he did not provide well enough for his wife and children, according to Merdeka.
“He was at the Carrefour in a Surabaya mall with a woman. The possessions left as evidence at Kuta Beach was only to make the opinion that he had drowned while swimming. It was done at this moment so his case, his investigation warrant, could not be processed,” Darta said on Wednesday, as quoted by Tribun Bali.
Darta says Propam is working on a strategy to bring Adnyana back to Bali and to take responsibility for his actions, so he (of course) wouldn’t tarnish the reputation of the police force.
What’s remarkable is police aren’t ready to fire him and are giving him 30 days to come back.
“But we’re trying to get him back to work as a cop. I’ve definitely made mistakes and behavior can be improved. But if he does not come back in up to 30 days, there is no option, but to fire him,” Darta said.
