The investigation related to the Denpasar 10-year-old girl who was briefly abducted then allegedly sexually assaulted this week is slow moving.
Denpasar Police criminal investigators have found minimal witnesses who have any information that can help them uncover the identity of the perpetrator.
Police are scanning CCTV footage around Singapadu, Gianyar, where the girl was left abandoned on the side of the road by her abductor, around five hours after she was first taken from her home in Sesetan.
Denpasar Police Chief Hadi Purnomo says police are cautious to press the victim, LAC, too hard for information since she is no doubt experiencing trauma and is still young.
“For the kidnapping case, frankly, we are just now examining the victim, we are still cautious because she is suffering from trauma, as just a small child,” Purnomo told Tribun Bali on Thursday.
The girl already underwent a physical examination at Sanglah Hospital after she told of being molested while she had been kidnapped.
“As for the perpetrator, we want to make a sketch of his face first, because we still lack witnesses.”
And about the car that the perp was driving, local reports have been inconsistent on whether the Toyota Avanza Velos of the abductor was white or silver in color. The plates aren’t fully known, except that it started with DK (Bali registration code) and ended with XS.
The perp was described as wearing shorts and a black t-shirt with a heart and the word “Guest” written on it.
