Police in Bali’s Buleleng regency are launching an investigation after a gang rape video circulated widely recently, with preliminary findings revealing that the victim and possible suspects are all minors.

According to reports, the video showed a 12-year-old girl raped by a number of boys, who police have since revealed are all underage. In a statement received by Coconuts, police said the incident occurred last week on Dec. 7 at a house located in Tejakula District.

The four alleged rapists are aged 14-16, police said.

“This case is being investigated, and what they did was based on mutual attraction,” Buleleng Precinct Chief, Andrian Pramudianto, said today.

“Give a chance for investigators to handle this case. We will reveal any other developments soon.”
