Before sunrise on April 17, the North Kuta Police received a call about a foreign male found lying on Petitenget Street by several local citizens. One witness, a woman named Risma, told the authorities that she attempted to contact a nearby clinic before calling the police.

A second witness, a taxi driver named Dani Siswanto, told the authorities that he had attempted to resuscitate the man, who was later identified as Australian citizen Charles John Bradley, 28. Bradley remained unconscious so Dani and Risma carried him to the Siloam Hospital on Sunset Road for medical attention.

Dani said that another foreigner helped him and Risma bring the Sydney-based real estate agent to the hospital. The unidentified foreigner told Dani and Risma that they did not know Bradley personally.

“By the time the police arrived the foreigner had already left the hospital,” Bali Police spokesman Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto told Coconuts.

Bradley was pronounced dead at the hospital, with doctors explaining to the police that he likely drew his last breath on the way to the hospital. The doctors found several scrapes on his body, which they believe were the result of falling numerous times on the street.

“Witnesses said that he was last seen getting out of Da Maria restaurant, walking wobbly, and falling several times on the street,” the police officer added.

The police are still investigating Bradley’s cause of death, revealing that two people who vacationed together with the victim in Bali were not with him at the time of the incident.

Australian news outlets reported that mystery surrounds Bradley’s death. Bradley reportedly arrived in Bali earlier this month to attend a music festival. On the day that he passed away, he left to catch a taxi at around midnight.

“There’s a three-hour gap between [Bradley] leaving the venue, which was only 15 minutes from where he was staying,” his sister, Beth Bradley, told 10 News First, adding that his body was found just two minutes away from his villa.

North Kuta Police Chief Made Pramasetia confirmed to Coconuts that Bradley’s body is still at the hospital. Meanwhile, a GoFundme page has been set up by Bradley’s family in Sydney to bring his body home.

Coconuts has contacted Siloam Hospital for comment.
