Police are working hard on their investigation of alleged child exploitation at a spa in Bali.
A woman working for the Banjar Spa on Jl. Raya Kuta was reportedly interviewed by law enforcement on Wednesday as a witness in the child trafficking case, where as many as 12 girls from age 13 to 15 were allegedly working non-stop.
An officer conducting the investigation from the police’s Women and Children’s Protection Unit, who declined to be named, told local newspaper Tribun Bali that the investigation had been running from August 7 to 11 and involved a number of interviews with other salon workers.
“These interviews are following case reports from Bali Police of an alleged criminal discovery of minors be trafficked. The results of the investigation reveal that there are 11 children who were working for over a year. These minors have been working from the age 15,” the officer told Tribun Bali.
