If you feel like you’ve been seeing more police out on the streets in Bali than usual lately, then you’re not wrong.
Bali Police has reportedly deployed hundreds of officers to help manage traffic congestion at critical intersections in Bali.
“A total of 350 personnel were assigned to a number of spots. Like in front of markets, schools, hospitals, tourist attractions, and points prone to congestion,” Bali Police spokesman Superintendent Hengky Widjaja told Tribun Bali.
Widjaja explained that the deployment comes under the orders of Bali Police Chief Insp. Gen. Petrus R Golose to demonstrate police’s prioritizing of maintenance, security, and public order.
The assignments are not a one-time operation, but will apply every day, according to Widjaja.
