Bali Police deny holding actor Jeremy Thomas over Ubud villa property dispute

Bali Police are stomping out rumors that they were holding Indonesian celebrity Jeremy Thomas.

Thomas has been entangled in a property dispute of an Ubud villa involving suspected fraud and embezzlement with an Autsralian man dating back to October 2014.

Bali Police head spokesman Hery Wiyanto told Tribun Bali on Thursday that the case is still under investigation and police have not made moves against Thomas.

“We do not hold Jeremy. We had to call him in and question him and examine him a number of times,” Wiyanto said at Bali Police headquarters.

The Australian, Patrick Alexander Morris, claims that Thomas scammed him, while Thomas has made similar accusations against Morris.
