Unfortunately, rumors that the missing little girl was found, have turned out to be untrue.
Head of Bali Police, Ronny F. Sompie has denied reports saying that Angeline, an eight-year-old girl reported missing on Saturday, has been found, according to Kompas.
He has further denied rumors that Angeline was admitted to a hospital in Singaraja, North Bali, where a ransom was asked for her return.
Police are still searching for Angeline, Sompie says. “We hope there is any information on the whereabouts of the child,” he said on Wednesday.
Sompie also appealed to the public that if people find Angeline, they should take her to her parents or the nearest police station.
Angeline has been missing from her Sanur home on Jl. Tuberose since Saturday, when her family believed she had been out playing with her friends.
Desperate to find her and unsure of her location, police have extended their search to outside of Bali.
Angeline was adopted when she was just three days old by a woman named Margareta, who reportedly has two other children.
Despite allegations of domestic violence, the family has been extremely active on social media, spreading the word about Angeline’s disappearance and urging the public to help try and locate her.
