Bali newspaper awkwardly blurs out kiss between Sara Connor and David Taylor at crime reenactment

A photo showing a kiss between murder suspects Sara Connor and David Taylor has been comically censored in a major Bali newspaper.

In the photo published by local paper Tribun Bali, the lips of the two foreigners accused of killing a Bali policeman are awkwardly blurred out.

The kiss was apparently part of yesterday’s crime reconstruction, where the British man and his Australian girlfriend were made to reenact authorities’ version of events.

Guess the newspaper was scared their article would be NSFW?

Censoring for modesty and sexual content (even when it’s just kissing) is not too uncommon in Indonesia.

Try going to the movie theater and seeing movies like Wolf of Wall Street and wondering how you got from point A to B when there are giant chunks of the film cut out.

On an even more extreme note, just earlier in this year, women wearing traditional kebaya were blurred out from a TV broadcast of a pageant program.
