Eight teens plus a 21-year-old were arrested by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Bali Province on Tuesday when police discovered a “meth party” happening at a Denpasar kos.
When the boardinghouse on Jl. Gunung Tangkuban Perahu was raided, officers reportedly found various drug paraphernalia.
The nine young people were identified in reports as PE, 16, PMS, 17, MNK, 16, PA, 16, KA, 16, KF,16, CBK, 15, ABR, 16, and GMES, 21.
Narcotics officers say they took urine samples from the nine for testing, which came back positive for drug use.
Head of BNNP Bali, Brig. Gen. Putu Gede Suastawa told Tribun Bali that four of the nine youth live in the boardinghouse where they held the meth party, while the remaining five live with their parents.
Suastawa stated that most of them are school dropouts (from both elementary and middle school), while two sets of the youth were engaging in sexual relations.
“These children rarely return to their homes. Their parents get confused when their children don’t home. It turns out, they party with drugs in a boardinghouse room. There are two pairs of lovers of the nine,” Suastawa said.
