Bali man found dead in kos covered in ant bites

Forensics is still waiting on the go ahead for an autopsy from the family of a man found dead in his rented room in East Denpasar.

The body of Ketut Sukadana, 33, was discovered yesterday in his kos on Jll Akasia XVI and was sent directly to Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar for examination around 11 pm at night, reports Tribun Bali

From the exam’s results, we can know that Sukadana died eight to 12 hours before his body was examined and there were no apparent signs of injury due to violence, Head of Sanglah’s Forensics Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Alit told Tribun on Thursday.

But there was another disturbing problem with the man’s body: there was a blistering wound from after the man’s death from being bitten by ants, Alit said.

Related to how exactly this man died, forensics says he suffered suffocation and showed bruising, but for a precise cause of death, an autopsy needs to be done.

Alit says they’re holding off on the autopsy until they can get approval from Sukadana’s family, but from his observations, it does not appear to be an overdose.
