Heavy rain in Bali’s Tabanan Regency prompted more landslides in the Bedugul area.

Three landslides struck Pacung Village, Baturiti District on Monday afternoon around 4 pm.

But thankfully, there were no victims reported. Landslides are a major risk in many parts of Bali during the rainy season. Kintamani was hit last month, causing 13 local residents to lose their lives.

“On Monday there were three landslides, almost at the same time. There were no casualties,” Baturiti District Head Tos Partha said, as quoted by Tribun Bali.

However, a house, belonging to a local resident was totally destroyed by one of the landslides, says Partha.

The Tabanan Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has come to Baturiti to provide disaster relief.

“BPBD Tabanan has checked Pacung Village residents and has already set up tents,” Partha said.
