An Australian influencer’s pursuit of the perfect tattoo in Bali ended in anguish and disappointment.

Tia Kabir, a 19-year-old influencer from Canberra, had high hopes for her dream ink, only to be confronted with an unexpected twist.

Venturing to the tropical paradise of Bali, Kabir eagerly awaited the opportunity to have the phrase “Angel Energy” delicately etched onto her right forearm. Little did she know that her long-awaited moment would soon take a heart-wrenching turn, leaving her distraught and teary-eyed.

“So I came to Bali to get a tattoo, right?” she said, choking back her tears in a clip uploaded on her TikTok.

“I’ve been dreaming to get this tattoo ‘cause I don’t get tattoos all the time. I get one, like, every few months.”

Kabir then showed her right forearm wrapped in plastic, explaining that the tattoo was supposed to read “Angel Energy” if it weren’t for an unfortunate flip of the words.

“And now it’s ‘Energy Angel’,” she said, bawling.

Overwhelmed by her emotions, Kabir couldn’t contain her disappointment and took to TikTok to share her ordeal. Filming herself in the street, tears streaming down her face, she revealed the tattoo blunder to her followers.

The video was uploaded two days ago and, per this article’s publication, has been viewed over 3.9 million times.

Netizens delivered jabs toward Kabir, with some ridiculing her ordeal.

“Thats what u get when ur budget for ur DREAM tattoo is $20,” said one user.

“You know you can look at the stencil before they start tattooing right?” another one said.

One commenter said that Kabir’s dream ink was not even that great.

“I mean angel energy isn’t any better.”

Kabir explained to News.com.au that she had presented her tattoo artists with a piece of paper that said “Angel Energy”. However, the stencil was too big for her arm and the words were somehow flipped when the tattoo artist made a smaller stencil.

Despite doubts circulating about the authenticity of the video, Kabir stood firm in assuring its genuineness. Prompted by Kabir’s distress, the tattoo studio reportedly reached out to her, driven by guilt and a desire to make amends. They offered to rectify the error, resulting in a revision of the tattoo.

After a transformation, Kabir’s ink now displays the phrase “Energy of an Angel.”

In a follow-up video, Kabir said that she did not expect her tattoo mishap clip to go so viral that many news outlets would reach out to her for comments. She then showed the “fixed” tattoo before thanking the people who supported her.

“To my haters… I’ve got one thing to say,” she said, ending the clip by playfully sticking out her tongue to the camera.
