The immigration office at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport has reportedly arrested an Indian national wanted by Interpol.
The arrest was made on Monday at 8:07 pm, according to directorate general of immigration spokesperson Agung Sampurno.
“The Indian citizen arrived by Air Niugini PX394 from Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea,” Sampurno said in a statement, as quoted by Tempo News.
Based on data provided by Immigration, the fugitive is 29 years old, born in Delhi, and has initials VM.
VM is understood to still be in custody at the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office.
Interpol had apparently put out a red notice for the Indian.
“For a case of cheating and forgery,” Sampurno said.
