Records from September 2016 show that out of all the points of entry in Indonesia, Bali has the highest amount of foreign tourist arrivals.
Shocking, isn’t it?
“Bali is the largest contributor of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia, in total. Based on national data, arrivals in the month of September reached 1 million people. Of that, the majority of foreign tourists came in through Bali,” head of the National Statistics Agency (BPS) Bali, Adi Nugroho said on Tuesday, as quoted by Kompas.
Of foreign tourist arrivals in September, the greatest number came from Australia—while in August, the most came from China, according to BPS data.
Looking at the bigger picture, from January to September 2016, Bali has had as many as 3.63955 million foreign tourist arrivals, with the most coming from Australia (23.36 percent), China (20.38 percent), Japan (4.94 percent), UK (4.52 percent), and India (3.57 percent).
