Bali governor approves fuel prices to match Java’s

After increasing pressure on Bali’s government to lower the island’s relatively high fuel prices, the governor is reportedly caving and matching Java’s.

Governor Made Mangku Pastika said yesterday that he approved changes to Regulation no. 1 of 2011 that would change public funding for fuel, reports Tribun Bali

But hold on to your horses and don’t go running to your nearest Pertamina station too fast. Apparently the draft of his changes has been submitted to Bali’s legislature and is to be discussed soon. We sure hope so, because we can’t wait to go the pump and see those prices lower down.

A number of Bali residents have been irked because prices on the island have been high reaching around IDR7,950/liter, compared to the IDR7,600/liter price in other regions
