A Denpasar man took some hot metal to the leg on Friday after he pulled a gun on police, which reportedly turned out to be just a toy.
“The perpetrator had a gun. Once disabled, it was known to be just a toy gun he had bought at a flea market,” Tony Binsar, Badung Police chief told Tribun Bali.
I Ketut Agus Sarjana, a Denpasar resident who is also known as both Imam Sahroni and Gus Kembar was arrested in Krajan Village, Banyuwangi, East Java on Thursday, according to Tribun.
Sarjana reportedly had a criminal record and had been wanted by the police, notably for robbery. Binsar referenced one offense in Badung and two in Denpasar.
Binsar also noted that two of Sarjana’s accomplices, ER and PJ are still wanted and have yet to be located.
Sarjana could get 12 years in prison, as he’s reportedly facing charges for theft with violence.
The captured fugitive says his friends cheated him and he doesn’t know about their whereabouts. Tribun quoted him as saying he’s disappointed with them and he would tell the police where they are if he knew.
