It’s been dry in Bali for so long, we almost forgot what rainy season was like. But today was a definite reminder that rainy season is back with a vengeance.
Most areas of Bali have reported experiencing strong rains since this morning and when we say strong, we mean strong. No surprise, such hujan deras has resulted in a lot of flooding, especially in areas with weak drainage, like parts of Denpasar.
Naturally, netizens across the island have been sharing their own pictures and videos of flooding in Bali:
Neighborhood streets have turned into rivers:
Cars making waves and motorbikes taking them like jetskis:
Houses, of course, are also victims of the flooding!
And what’s to blame for all this flooding? Apparently we have garbage to thank, as it’s been found to be blocking up a lot of our drainage systems on the island!
