The Bali expats group: can’t live with it, can’t live without it.
Our favorite Facebook group that deals with everything Bali that we love to hate and hate to love has a whopping membership of over 30,000, as of Nyepi weekend.
VOA questions from (sometimes clueless and lazy) tourists, earthquake and fire updates, restaurant recs, cultural commentary rants, shameless advertising, you name it and it’s on that Facebook page.
We also just noticed that the group changed its cover photo today for the first time in months. Noooiice.
As much as we would love to live a drama free Facebook life without constantly checking that group and seeing all the bickering, how else could we know what’s going on in Bali without all those live updates?
While there are tons of other groups trying to offer a forum on Facebook for concerned expats living in Bali like Bali Expat Community, Bali Community, and Bali Expats ONLY, we and 30,000 other people all know where the really interesting stuff happens.
