Remember that couple who had sex in the car while they were wearing traditional Balinese clothing, the video of which went viral recently? Based on the clicks for that story, we assume that you do and you may have been eager for a follow-up.

Well, Bali Police spokesman Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto announced today that both the man and the woman in the clip were arrested last night.

The male suspect has been identified as MM, a 28-year-old man originally from Denpasar, while the woman, 26-year-old DNL, is originally from Bogor but lives in Depok, West Java.

The couple apologized for all the brouhaha and offense they caused.

Police are currently investigating who are the people responsible for spreading the clip. Stefanus said that the couple filmed themselves having sex in the car when they were on their way home after they had performed melukat (purification ritual) at Tirta Empul Temple in Gianyar.

Oh, the irony.

At any rate, under Indonesian law, producing pornographic content is a crime punishable by up to six years in prison.
