Prices have apparently done their seasonal soaring at Ubung Bus Terminal, Denpasar’s main bus station.
For instance, fares for Denpasar to Bogor usually run Rp 510k, but now the ‘Eid price’ is Rp 700k—that’s a huge jump for people who get paid locally.
Likewise, a ticket from Denpasar to Jakarta is usually Rp 460k, but this Eid, it’s up to Rp Rp 670k, whereas it usually costs Rp 220k to get to Mataram, Lombok, but now it’s Rp 275-300k.
Head of the Terminal’s Passenger Unit AA Eka Putra told Tribun Bali, however, that the prices this holiday season are consistent with rates posted in 2015.
