Bali 9 families held to strict visitation schedule, haven’t seen Chan and Sukumaran since transfer to ‘death island’

After their move from Bali to Central Java on Wednesday, the two Bali Nine Australians on Indonesian death row have reportedly been cut off from family visitations so far.

Indonesian authorities are saying visiting days are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 am to 1 pm and there’s no leeway, reports the Sydney Morning Herald

Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran have Australian consulate on their side, with staff reportedly trying to negotiate for some flexibility, but Mirza Zukarnain says those visitation limits are fixed.

“No exception. We can’t make allowances for certain families only. It won’t be fair for the others,” he said, as quoted by the SMH.

Things haven’t exactly been easy and breezy between Indonesia and Australia over these two death row inmates, with one of the most recent tensions boiling over as Australia lodged a formal complaint against Indonesia’s treatment of Chan and Sukumaran
