Award-winning actress and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador Anne Hathaway is confirmed to make a virtual appearance at the 2022 Business 20 (B20) Indonesia Summit next week in Bali as one of the speakers.
Hathaway’s remote attendance was confirmed by the official Instagram accounts of both the B20 Summit and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin). Albeit virtual, the Academy Award-winning actress will lead a session called, “Accelerating economic transformation and inclusive productivity growth.”
The Instagram account confirming Hathaway’s participation is filled with comments from netizens expressing their excitement. Despite the post confirming her virtual attendance, some still asked in vain hope whether Hathaway is actually coming to the Island of Gods.
Hathaway first came to prominence for her performance as Mia Thermopolis in Princess Diaries (2001) and its sequel, before establishing herself amongst Hollywood’s leading actresses with her role in Brokeback Mountain (2005) and later one of her biggest commercially successful movies to date, The Devil Wears Prada (2006), where she played an assistant to a chief editor of a fashion magazine played by Meryl Streep.
Her role in Les Misérables (2012) won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
The B20 Summit is scheduled to take place on Nov. 13 and 14 at the Bali Dua Nusa Convention Center.
New Twitter boss Elon Musk has already been confirmed to attend B20 Summit as Tesla CEO along with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, who will appear in his capacity as the chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
