Two Australian sisters have come forward, claiming to have heard screaming the night Bali police officer Wayan Sudarsa was murdered.
Coleen Bowen and Kim Watson had been staying at Pullman Hotel in Kuta, just across the road from where Sudarsa was found dead on August 17.
The sisters said they waited to speak up until back in Oz, to avoid becoming embroiled in the whole affair that has Australian Sara Connor and British boyfriend David Taylor under investigation over the bloody killing.
They said they told the Australian Federal Police (AFP) what happened, when they woke up around 1:30 am and heard “Australian voices screaming for their life” that night.
“I heard this screaming that woke me up,” Bowen said. “It made me jump to my feet. I opened my curtain, I was scared, I didn’t want anyone to see me,” Yahoo 7 News quoted her as saying.
Bowen said the voices sounded Australian and she heard a woman’s voice screaming: ““No, no, let him go.”
And both sisters said they heard a man yell: “No, don’t do that you f—–g c—”
Bowen has claimed she “didn’t hear any Indonesian voices” and it sounded like the “Australians” were under attack.
When the sisters woke up the next morning, a crime scene had been set up at the beach in front of the hotel. However, they say hotel guests were never approached about the incident.
Connor’s attorney says the witness account matches what his client told police.
