An Australian man was found dead early on Friday morning, floating in the pool of his home in Sanur, Bali.
The victim’s wife says she found his body in their pool at 5 am.
“His wife realized that he was not in bed when she woke up. The man was apparently found floating in his swimming pool,” South Denpasar Police Chief Nanang Prihasmoko said, as quoted by the Jakarta Post.
Identified as 64-year-old Alistair Robert Hugh Frowde, the deceased man is believed to have died from a heart attack or other health complications.
Frowde’s body was sent to the morgue in Denpasar’s Sanglah Hospital, but no official cause of death has been reported on to date, since police say they have not yet gotten permission from his family in Australia to perform an autopsy.
However, police maintain that there were no signs of violence on the victim’s body, there was some indication of drowning, and they think it likely Frowde either had a heart attack or some stomach cramps, according to Prihasmoko.
