South Denpasar Police reportedly arrested 21-year-old I Gede Angga Sedana Putra for allegedly stealing money from a Mandiri ATM at Tukad Pakerisan, Denpasar on July 31.
I Nyoman Artana of Denpasar police says the alleged perpetrator works for a company that repairs ATMs.
“Well, he has the key that was used to break into the ATMs cash,” Artana explained to Tribun Bali on Wednesday.
On the day of the theft, Putra was assigned to repair the Mandiri ATM at the gas station.
“When opening the ATM machine, he appeared to be stealing a box of money from the ATM,” Artana said, explaining why they suspect Putra.
Police reportedly found Rp 199.9 million at Putra’s home from the money box.
