The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) confiscated around 25 kilograms of marijuana in Bali, coming from north Sumatra.

Two suspects, alleged dealers, were arrested on Monday on Legian’s Jl. Sahadewa and were identified in reports as RN, 25, and GR, 31.

Head of BNN Bali, Brigadier General Putu Gede Suastawa, said officers are deepening their investigation of the drug case and are coordinating with BNN north Sumatra to find out who the two suspects were working with.

The drugs were likely intended for distribution in Bali around new year’s festivities. There have been a number of big take-downs in Bali lately, leading up to the holiday, like the Russian who was arrested over three kilos of cannabis in toothpaste and the mother and son duo found with 4,200 ecstasy pills
