Thirty-year-old Arab-Israeli vlogger Nuseir Yassin, more popularly known as Nas Daily on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, touched down in Indonesia (Bali, to be specific) over the weekend despite being denied entry in 2018, allegedly due to him holding an Israeli passport.

The famous content creator, known for his brief travel and positivity videos, announced his long-awaited arrival on his Facebook page.

“Bali! I am here. Finally. After 7 years of trying,” he wrote, attaching a picture of him on a scooter sporting a DK Balinese license plate.

Yassin said he would be hosting a “mini meetup” for 50-80 people this week for anyone interested. On his website, Yassin also announced a scheduled “Nassummit,” which he described as “the Davos for international content creators” on Feb. 11 in Jakarta

In no time, Yassin has already put up two videos from Bali. In the first, the influencer, a renowned vegetarian, went apeshit over genuine Indonesian tempeh

In another video, Yassin unironically expressed his awe at how white and gentrified Bali turned out to be.

Yassin’s arrival has become a topic of interest in Indonesia, as the country does not have formal diplomatic ties with Israel.

Yassin, who describes himself as Palestinian-Israeli (he was born to an Arab Muslim family of Palestinian descent), said in August 2018 that he suspected his Israeli passport, which Indonesia does not recognize, to be the reason why he was denied entry that year.

A spokesman for Indonesia’s Directorate-General for Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, told Coconuts that Yassin was denied entry in 2018 but the influencer was never totally banned from entering the country.

Achmad said that this time, Yassin entered Indonesia using his Saint Kitts and Nevis passport.

“In 2018, his Indonesian visa application was indeed denied because there was a document that was not in line with the purpose of his visit,” Achmad said.

Yassin has used the passport from the tiny Caribbean country before. In a TikTok video that he uploaded in October 2022, Yassin said he managed to enter Malaysia after he was previously denied entry, using the Saint Kitts and Nevis passport that he obtained for US$150,000.

EDITOR’S NOTE: In the earlier version of this article, we wrote that Yassin bought his Saint Kitts and Nevis passport for US$150. The correct one is US$150,000. We apologize for the inconvenience.
