Another online ‘pimp’ in Bali emerges for the sake of ‘professional’ research

It’s hard to keep-up with all the sex scandals coming out of Indonesia these days. First there’s the celebrity prostitution ring that services clients as far as Boston. Then there’s the recently discovered online prostitution ring based in Bali, apparently controlled by a drug mule inside the internationally infamous Kerobokan Prison.

These scandals, however, haven’t deterred Kuta-based sex therapist Bara Susanto from becoming an online prostitution pimp for the sake of conducting “professional” research.

For six months, Susanto posed as an online pimp – carrying out activities such as “employing” subordinates, putting online sex advertisements, taking bookings online, even accompanying the sex workers to meet their clients, reports Merdeka. The purpose? For the new book that he is writing – as well as gathering additional data to “perfect” the latest sex method he is developing, called “G-spot activation”.

Susanto’s research is targeted at foreign clients who use the services of Indonesian prostitutes. During the six-month research period he collated client data originating from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, Europe, Australia and the United States. He did this by studying their responses to advertisements, their booking methods and requests, as well as studying their daily habits to determine how that would translate to their desires in the bedroom.

His findings? Apparently Koreans like to finish quickly, because they’re used to walking fast. Bules frequent a mysterious but supposedly popular social network to request services and would pay a great deal of money for dark-skinned, “exotic-looking”, skinny types (who Susanto claims may not be considered attractive by conventional Indonesian standards). Indians are apparently the roughest of the lot, which Susanto finds slightly bizarre, because “aren’t they famous for Kama sutra?”

We can’t imagine how any of this could be legal, but there have been no publicly available reports to date of Susanto running into problems with law enforcement.

We’re sure that there will be many reviews when his new book comes out, though he might have to fight for publicity if another national sex scandal blows up.
