While the little girl eight-year-old girl that Bali has been desperately searching for since May 16 is still missing, a similar case has surfaced in Bangli, Bali.
Getting considerably less press than Angeline’s scandalous disappearance, Lufti Anita Safira was reported missing on Tuesday, May 26, according to VIVA News.
Safira never returned home from kindergarten on that day, prompting her parents to report the case to the police.
After investigating the crime scene and examining witnesses, it became known that Safira was picked up by someone on a motorbike when going home from school, according to VIVA.
Bangli Vice Chief of Police Gede Rai said that the perpetrator has been arrested and is undergoing intensive examination to to find the motive. According to Rai, the perp approached Safira and told her that her parents asked him to pick her up.
What is most unfortunately not clear from VIVA’s report is whether or not Safira has been safely returned home or not.
The story does not appear to have been picked up by news sources other than VIVA as of writing time though.
