The body of an American man was reportedly admitted to Sanglah Hospital morgue in Denpasar early on Wednesday morning.
UPDATE American man dead on Sunset Road had been speeding, police say
Identified by his initials LPW, the man was fatally injured from an accident on Sunset Road at 12:30 am, reports Tribun Bali.
His body was received by Sanglah at 1 am, while an external examination was reportedly performed directly at 1:55 am.
Unfortunately Tribun’s report did not go into much detail at all about how the man actually came to die, but it did discuss the injuries found on his body.
There were many injuries on the corpse, especially on the head and face, according to head of Sanglah Forensics, Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Alit.
In addition to open wounds on the head and face, Alit told Tribun that both upper and lower limbs had a number of injuries as well.
“Until now there has been no request from the police or consulate for an autopsy,” Alit says.
