There has been an unusually high number of suicide by hanging cases in Bali this year, with reports stating that Sanglah Hospital had admitted nine bodies of that condition as of Feb. 24.
We hoped the trend was temporary and had stopped, but another person has been found dead on the island, who hanged himself.

Rudi Susanto, 31, was found outside of his rented room at Jl. Gunung Atena in Denpasar at 7 am this morning, hanging by his neck from a tree, reports Tribun Bali, which also published a disturbing image of the body hanging.
Susanto’s hanged body was discovered by Supriadi, 34, a neighbor who would usually hang his bird’s cage up in that tree. He was reportedly shocked when he went to the tree this morning to see Susanto already hanging there, with red and white cloth wrapped around his neck.
The suicide was allegedly because Susanto was depressed from financial problems, as well as problems with his family.
His body was sent to Sanglah Hospital around 8:30 am this morning for further examination, Tribun reports.
