Alleged slashing victim changes story, investigators suspect she’s hiding something

A woman who was the victim of an attack on Monday morning has not exactly been receptive to investigators poking around and asking questions.

Komang Susanti, 40, a resident of Jl. Iman Bonjol, was allegedly attacked at the intersection for the toll road in Nusa Dua, but has apparently refused to explain details of the incident to police.

Police investigator Bualu says he was kicked out of her home, while Benoa Police Chief Commissioner Nyoman Gatra said the same.

Susanti has open wounds on both of her hands from the attack as well as a large wound on her shoulders. She was rushed to Sanglah Hospital for emergency treatment, but was quick to leave, reports said.

The woman had initially said she was injured from a motorbike fall, but then reportedly told doctors that she was attached by someone stabbing her.

Benoa Police seem to think Susanti’s odd behavior means she is trying to cover something up—but it seems like her actions could also be motivated by trauma and terror.

“First, it was a fall, then when checked, she said she was hit from behind. Asked again, she said she was stabbed by someone. Like someone who is covering stuff up,” Gatra told Tribun Bali

Police are still investigating the case.
