Dominique Sharpton, the daughter of President Obama’s “go-to black leader” American Baptist minister Al Sharpton has been climbing mountains, wandering through rice paddies, and lounging in a luxe Ubud villa during her current vacation in Bali.
This is despite her pending USD5 million lawsuit against New York City over a broken ankle from some uneven pavement back in October.
October was awhile ago and this wouldn’t be such a big deal, except her lawsuit asserts Dominique is in “permanent physical pain” and “still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries,” as quoted by the New York Post.
Well she must have a super strong threshold for pain as her Instagram shows that she summited a mountain while in Bali—no easy task for someone in chronic pain.
Her Instagram profile is set to private, but she linked the photos on her Twitter account to make them publicly visible, thanks to Twitchy for the tip.
We’ll be interested to see how this lawsuit turns out and if after these photos she can actually squeeze any money out of NYC.
