968 liters of arak confiscated in Bali ahead of Idul Fitri

With Idul Ftiri fast approaching in July 2016, Bali law enforcement is cracking down on increased illegal arak activity. 

Jembrana Police Chief Superintendent Djoni Widodo said his forces has secured hundreds of liters of arak during the holy month of Ramadan. 

“We have secured a total of 968.5 liters of arak Bali,” Widodo told Tribun Bali on Monday. 

As many as 24 perpetrators have been arrested over the unlicensed arak Bali. Most of them were arrested at the West Bali port of Gilimanuk, when they were about to be ferried over to Java.
