80-year-old grandma walks more than 1 km to hospital when hearing her grandchild’s been in an accident

Despite her old age, a grandma demonstrated her inspiring love for her family when she walked all the way to Sanglah Hospital on Monday after learning her grandchild was in an accident.

Kaki Biang Agung Raka, 80, from Sesetan, Denpasar was apparently covered in dust and just wearing flip-flops when she arrived at Sanglah, worried about her grandchild who was in a crash at school, according to Tribun Bali

“I walked here because I could not get a bemo (minibus),” Raka explained, going “jalan kaki” for over one kilometer. (Let’s be real, it’s almost breaking news here when anyone walks anywhere.)

Raka’s grandson, Ngurah Ari Pradnyana, reportedly suffered a broken leg after an accident in front of his school. The fifth grader had been walking to school and apparently did not see an oncoming car, which then hit the 10-year-old boy.

Pradnyana is reportedly being treated with a cast and is expected to recover.
