Although the earthquake was relatively close to Bali, there have yet to be any reports of damage related to the quake, local media is reporting.
The earthquake could be felt for 10 minutes, but there were no casualties, Klungkung Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) head, Putu Widiada, confirmed with CNN Indonesia.
“Reports from my colleagues are that there has been no damage,” Widiada said.
BMKG has not yet determined if the quake will have an impact on Mount Agung‘s activity, which is near Klungkung in Bali’s Karangasem regency.
