Kerobokan Prison just can’t get out of the news with its sketchy drug stories.
After a prison guard was allegedly caught selling drugs one week ago, the latest from the “Hotel K” is that two children were reportedly caught trying to bring drugs into the prison on Saturday, according to Tribun Bali.
Bambang Gede Harta, Badung Police Narcotics Team says the case stems from prison officer checks on the kids’ stuff. The kids are just identified by their initials, JN, 16, and AD, 10.
JN and AD were allegedly hiding the drugs in the two packs of rice they were carrying. Officers apparently did not initially suspect the rice packets, but after further investigation they rallied that meth powder was hidden inside.
When asked about the meth, the kids said their mother told them to deliver the rice to their brother who had been arrested, Harta says. We will have to wait and see if police think it was the mom’s fault or those kids were overly-nice siblings to their prisoner brother.
