In another episode of tourists behaving badly in Bali, two foreigners were arrested after they allegedly vandalized their room in Legian’s Fontana Bali Hotel last Tuesday.

The tourists — identified as 32-year-old Saudi national Aldhuba Mousa Ahmed and 35-year-old Moroccan national Ziween Dodiaa — were reported to the local police by the hotel staff following the alleged vandalism.

The tourists reportedly damaged several facilities in their hotel room, such as a television, a phone, and a no-smoking sign. Police did not say why they vandalized their room, but said that the total damages they caused amounted to IDR8 million (US$530.37).

Kuta Police’s Crime Investigation Unit Head Putu Ika Prabawa said no charges were made against the tourists.

“On the same day, both suspects immediately made peace with the hotel. They were willing to compensate for the damages,” Prabawa told Radar Bali on Saturday.
