17-year-old girl reported missing from Gianyar, Bali

UPDATE Missing Ubud teen returns home

A Balinese family is desperately searching for a 17-year-old girl who hasn’t been seen or heard from since Sunday. 

The search is on for Ni Putu Putri Handayani, who her family says went to Gianyar on Sunday using a red Scoopy, with plate number DK 7721 KW.

The family, who lives in Ubud, has made reports with local police as well as the banjar, in addition to spreading the word on social media, but as so far been unlucky in finding Handayani. 

“The response on social media has been very nice. But unfortunately no claims to have seen or met the victim in Gianyar,” Tribun Bali quoted an Ubud Police officer as saying. 

 

 

 

I Made Suanda, the girl’s father, says he’s been trying to reach his daughter since Sunday but her phone number is inactive. 

Her family has also tried checking her boyfriend’s house, but her boyfriend also claims to have gotten no news from her since Sunday. They’ve also checked her school, SMK Pariwisata Kertayasa, where she was studying tourism in Singakerta.
