It’s no secret that Bali is a haven for honeymooners and happy couples. The island’s magnificent views and scores of picturesque venues often land it on lists of the world’s most romantic destinations.

That might just be what Swedish gaming YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, who is more commonly known by his alias Pewdiepie, and his new wife, Marzia Bisognin, had in mind when they chose Bali as their honeymoon destination.

PewDiePie has the second-most popular channel on YouTube, with over 100 million subscribers. According to a recent report, he’s also the top earner on the streaming site, with an estimated monthly income of more than £6.58 million (IDR 112.6 billion or USD 7.9 million) a month.

PewDiePie and Marzia tied the knot in August and, in a number of pre-recorded videos posted this past week, PewDiePie announced that he’s actually on his honeymoon. He didn’t share where he was headed, but some of his followers recently found out their secret destination after Balinese tour guide Bagia Pradiva shared photos of and with PewDiePie and Marzia on his Instagram account.

Bagia told Coconuts Bali today via Instagram direct messaging that he accompanied the couple on a one-day tour, during which they visited Nungnung Waterfall and Beratan Lake and tried out the Bali Swing.

He said he didn’t actually realize that he was accompanying the famous YouTube personality until his friends pointed it out to him.

“I didn’t even realize, only when I shared a photo on a WhatsApp Group, my friend informed me [who it was], because I’m not a gamer and I don’t watch YouTube,” Bagia said.

During their tour, Bagia said many fans approached the couple to take photos, especially when they were visiting the waterfall.

Yesterday, Marzia also shared a photo of herself with a waterfall in the photo’s background. Though she didn’t include any location in the post, It looks like it might have been taken at Nungnung Waterfall, which is located in the north of Bali’s Badung regency.

“They’re so nice, very friendly and humorous,” Bagia told Coconuts Bali, adding that they have since left the island.
